ARB Releases OME BP-51 Shock Absorbers For GQ And GU Patrol

ARB has confirmed that it now has Old Man Emu (OME) BP-51 bypass shock absorbers to suite the GQ and GU Patrol.

The BP-51 shocks are available as a package which includes two front shocks, two rear shocks and two fitting kits. There will be two different versions available, one suitable for lifts of up to 50mm and a long travel version suitable for lifts of 75 to 100mm.

ARB say that the BP-51 shock absorbers for the GU Patrol have been tuned specifically to suit the vehicle’s geometry and weight when combined with OME coil springs. Extensive testing was undertaken to ensure that a high degree of roll control was achieved without losing the plush ride that the BP-51 range provides.

Off road testing was also extensively conducted to ensure that the vehicle can handle a wide variety of terrain for long periods of time.

The front dampers have been designed with a simple reservoir bracket that mounts to the top of the spring tower of all GQ/GU types.

The rear BP-51 shocks mount to the fuel tank fasteners using a simple bracket, which is adaptable for both the OE and ARB fuel tanks.

Recommended compression and rebound settings are supplied in the fitting instructions and cover different loading scenarios and the various spring options available.
